We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data we process when you use blocksocial.eu, buy from us or receive updates for our software, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, on servers in the EU. When you visit our website, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect attacks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hostinger (Art. 28 GDPR).

3. Cookies and local storage

We only use technically necessary cookies (Section 25 (2) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR):

  • Shopping cart and checkout (WooCommerce) – remember the contents of your cart and your checkout session.
  • Login (WordPress) – keep you logged in to your customer account.
  • Language (Polylang, pll_language) – remembers your preferred language.
  • Cookie notice – stores your choice in the cookie banner.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and our website does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third-party servers – except the payment forms on the checkout page (see section 5).

4. Orders and customer account

When you place an order, we process the data required to conclude and perform the contract: name, e-mail address, billing address if applicable, order and payment details, and the IP address used for the order (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). If you create a customer account, we additionally store your login details so you can access your downloads and orders at any time. We are obliged to retain order and invoice data for the statutory retention periods under commercial and tax law (up to 10 years; Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

5. Payment providers

To process payments we transmit the data required for payment (e.g. name, e-mail address, billing country, order amount) to our payment provider (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR):

  • Stripe – Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland. Privacy policy.

Depending on the payment method you choose, Stripe forwards the necessary data to the respective provider, which processes it under its own responsibility – in particular Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden (incl. credit check for pay later/instalments; privacy policy), Amazon Payments Europe S.C.A., 38 avenue J.F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg (Amazon Pay), as well as the providers of card schemes and local payment methods (EPS, Bancontact, BLIK).

On the checkout page, the payment forms are loaded directly from Stripe’s servers (js.stripe.com) so that card and account details are entered securely there.

Stripe may process data in the USA. Stripe is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and additionally uses EU standard contractual clauses. The providers may carry out fraud checks under their own responsibility.

6. E-mails

We send order confirmations, download links and service e-mails via the e-mail service of our host Hostinger (see section 2) (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We do not send newsletters.

7. Contact

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for contract-related requests, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the data once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Automatic software updates

If you use one of our WordPress plugins, your website regularly checks our update server for new versions. In doing so it transmits the plugin name and version, the address of your website and – if entered – the e-mail address and update key of your order, as well as the IP address of your server. We use this data to check your entitlement and to provide updates (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and do not use it for any other purpose.

9. Withdrawal function

If you use our electronic withdrawal function, we process the details you enter (name, e-mail address, order number, message) to handle your withdrawal and to send you a confirmation of receipt (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

10. Links to other websites

Our website contains links, e.g. to our app YEET (justyeet.it). Data is only transmitted to the linked website when you click the link. The operator of the respective website is responsible for data processing there.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, simply write to info@blocksocial.eu.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

12. Security

Our website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
